Our Values
We listen actively, engage authentically, and center community voices in our decision-making processes, ensuring that our work is rooted in the lived experiences and aspirations of those we seek to empower. Data collection and technology used in communities’ should center community. Data and technology should not be used as an instrument of oppression, reinforcing inequality, and perpetuating injustices. Data and technology should be used as an agent of social progression. Representation is crucial to success. To change our communities' relationship with data and technology it is important to create and maintain a pipeline of black women and people of color data and technology professionals that understands that data is more about people than numbers. We are committed to empowering individuals to realize their full potential as agents of change. We provide resources, training, and support to help people develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to make a difference in their communities and beyond.
